Our Trip to Moab

So we have lived in Utah for 18 years and had never gone to Arches National Park or

Canyonlands.  So We decided to take a trip to Moab, go river rafting and hike in the Arches. 

It was such a fun trip and we saw some of the most amazing places on earth.  I almost felt

as though we were on another planet! 

This is our favorite picture taken in front of the Delicate Arch. It was a 3 mile round trip hike at sunset, and it was well worth it!

These were taken at Dead Horse Point.  You can see the Colorado river and the Green river from this view. The story is that at one time some ranchers herded their horses to this point and left them there without food and water and they all died.  Kinda sad.  Amazing views!

 We were actually sitting on the edge of the cliff!

Canyonlands is beautiful, but you need to really do a lot of hiking to see it all.

Monticello Temple.  Very small, but beautiful

This was actually my favorite place!! I learned so much about the Pueblo indians who lived here hundreds of years ago.  They were wise and built their houses upon a rock! (I taught that song in Primary today.  But their houses have stood firm.)

Lot's of ladders to climb!  The indians actually rockclimbed to get up their, women with babies on their backs and water pots on their heads.  Wow!

   Tight fit for Dallas, this would be considered a hallway for them.
